PMS & Mobile Application Updates

Following the release of the new Speed Limit Signs App for capturing and editing speed limit signs in the field, a new video tutorial is available at the Help Videos section. The Speed Limit Signs App - Version 2, is available for Android on select mobile and tablet devices. MapRoad PMS Speed Limits

Following the release of the MapRoad PMS Speed Limits mobile application for Android, tutorial videos on the installation of the Speed Limits App, an overview of using the application and also viewing and editing Speed Signs data in PMS are now available to view in the Help Videos section. Editing in MapRoad

A number of tickets have been submitted through the MapRoad PMS Ticket Tracker recently, where the source of the issue has been snapping being disabled in MapRoad. When editing the local authority road schedule in MapRoad, it is very important that snapping is enabled when attempting to join road segments to each other. The PMS web application relies on the topology of the road schedule being correct in MapRoad, otherwise network routing cannot be achieved through non-connected road segments. This has been noted recently, as many local authorities are submitting Works' and Road programmes through the online PMS application.

Launch of MapRoad PMS Speed Limits Application

Testing has begun in select local authorities on the new MapRoad PMS Speed Limits application. The first in a planned suite of inventory capture mobile applications, it will be tested in four local authorities and rolled out to all local authorities in the coming months.

Update available for MapRoad Mobile Application

Update to version 2.4 is now available for the MapRoad Mobile application, with improved functionality. Application is now supported on Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and Tab 3 10.1.
